Art Club was created with the goal of having students explore alternative creative media and processes through the art of photography and computer aided editing programs as well as the written word and the creation of poetry and prose.

The students were encouraged to explore various themes and focus on human emotions, values and experiences while focusing on means to express themselves and how they interact with the world in which they live.

The art of still-life compositions was discovered as students searched for materials and subject matter to reflect an idea, theme or concept depicted in their writing. This year's publication is unique as it provides students with the task of creating a poem that accompanies a photo, but affords the students a full-page in which to express their ideas.

This year we are excited to have been granted funds from both JPMorgan/Chase (Mr. David Betts) and Cargil (Mr. Wade Richards). The funds have helped us to create a more professional and enhanced Light 4 while allowing the Art Club to purchase new technology to aid in the photography and printing. We thank these companies and their representatives for their dedication and generosity.
